The Shep Shapard Project

Hello, this is The Shep Shapard Project. We play Indie/Pop/Rock that "varies from simple and intimate to complex and captivating. Each song is heartfelt, thoughtful, and honest" (according to Shep).

After playing in a few fully collaborative projects, Shep thought it would be fun to set out and start writing songs all by his lonesome. According to Shep, "Don't get me wrong, I love collaboration... almost everything I love is built on collaboration. I just wanted to do something other than collaboration. I wanted to see what would happen if I wrote everything, the words, the melodies, the rhythm, everything, and if I wrote everything just straight out. No over analyzing anything. Just write the songs as they happen and let go. Simply and honestly. Also, I don't write anything intentionally to fit anything... well thats not entirely true. I certainly am inspired by all the music I love, but this project is music that I want to play, hear, and give to people... as a reflection of my musical self. There is some acoustic stuff, and full band stuff. Just straight out and honest."

So listen, enjoy, come see us play live, and if you like it, support so we can spread the joy all that much more. (Facebook.com)
